During and after the war on Lebanon, news broadcasters all around the world focused on the band of \"extremist\", \"terrorist\" militiamen of Hezbollah. \n\nA perspective which caught minimal attention and spotlight in newscasts was the extensive humanitarian and relief effort run by Hezbollah. By all accounts from the time, the aid effort by Hezbollah was, by far, the most efficient and wide-reaching in providing solace to the grieving and destitute families targeted by Israel.\n\nSince its birth, Hezbollah has played a pivotal role in providing for the social needs of the Lebanese people, and whilst others may want us to think them to be a barbaric, extremist and terrorist group, the facts on the ground show a very different picture.
